A#1 Air & Appliance – History

James Green was introduced to the air conditioning and appliance industry in Tulsa, Oklahoma where his parents, Sherril and Lindell Brandon, owned an appliance store. At the age of 14, James was helping out at the store, going on deliveries and learning to repair appliances and room air conditioning units.

In 1987, James met his wife Sherry. That same year, with the help of Sherril and Lindell, James and Sherry started their own appliance service company in Tulsa. Sherry answered the phones and kept the books while James handled all the service calls. In 1990, the Greens moved their company to the Lone Star State. Setting up shop in Dallas, the company grew from a small, two-person operation to a full service - air conditioning, heating, and appliance repair company with a fleet of service trucks and over 30 employees.

A#1 Air & Appliance continues to grow as it closes in on its third decade of providing the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex with service excellence in all things HVAC and Appliance. A#1 has won numerous awards, including recognition as the number one Carrier residential replacement dealer for 2006, 2007 and 2008.  A#1 Air & Appliance was the only recipient in Texas of the prestigious President's Award from Carrier for 2008 and one of only 63 dealers in the nation. A#1 Air has also been named Best of Carrollton in both 2008 & 2009.
